inspirational images

A person on Blogspot created this image. The message in the image inspires people to keep moving forward in life although we may lose things. Although I do think the image in the background looks quite depressing the message really inspires me. 

This image I found on a blog site called ‘Tumblr’, this image says a lot to me. It really inspires me to work hard instead of waiting things to happen. As you can see, it is a quote said my a man named ‘Blair Waldorf’ but she has made it into an image.

This image I found on Google. The message in the image is inspiring us to make something out of ourselves and I have notice the way the text gets bigger as it comes to an end but ‘Creating’ is written in the biggest size and this is obviously meant to stand out the most to inspire us to MAKE something out of ourselves instead of waiting for something to happen.

This image is very inspirational to be because it is inspiring me to make a change in myself and also make a change in the world. It is a quote from Gandhi.

This is my final inspirational image which I found on a website named babloud.com. This image inspires me to think wisely before making mistakes because it could ruin my life permanently.

digital stencil

This is my digital stencil that I made with the help of a tutorial. To make this I used photoshop, I used an image of google of a star who is more popular in the states, her name is Teyana Taylor. When making the stencil I followed many steps which made it a lot easier for me. I also have a black and white stencil which I plan to cut out and spray paint or sponge the cut out pieces so that we can see the image. I don't believe this was my favourite project to do and I don't think I would do anything differently.

craig thompson analysis

The album cover, illustrated by Craig Metthew Thompson (born September 21, 1975)  Craig is a graphic novelist best known for his books Good-bye, Chunky Rice (1999), Blankets (2003), Carnet de Voyage (2004) and Habibi (2011). Thompson has received four Harvey Awards, two Eisner Awards, and two Ignatz Awards. In 2007, his cover design for the Menomena album Friend and Foe received a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package.

The cover has four sides and the die-cuts reveal the disc or tray artwork behind. Rotating the disc creates variations of the artwork. A brilliantly executed concept that makes the artwork interactive and fun.

Blur Album Analysis

Julian Opie. Born in London, Opie was raised in Oxford, where he attended the Dragon School and Magdalen College School. He attended Goldsmith's School of Art in London from 1979-82. He then attended Chelsea College of Art and became a teacher.

Opie's style was brought into the public eye when he was asked to design the cover for a compilation by British band Blur, Blur: The Best Of. On the cover, the band members (clockwise from top left) Graham Coxon, Alex James, Dave Rowntree and Damon Albarn are transformed into Opie's style.

Blur: The Best Of is a greatest hits compilation album by English Britpop band Blur, first released in late 2000 and is the final Blur album by Food Records. It was released on CD, cassette tape, MiniDisc, double 12" vinyl record, DVD and VHS. The painting of this Blur album can be found at the National Portrait Gallery in London, England.

This album cover helped inspire me to make mine. I used the same graphic silhouette design and the different type of poses used, although I do prefer mine as it has more bolder colours used and I believe my silhouettes stand out more. also my silhouettes are posing differently. I prefer to use more bold colours in my work I believe it makes my image stand out more and looks more fun and attractive. 

Our task was to create a CD cover for an artist or music group. I decided to choose a group with two boys and two girls. I planned for my CD cover to be very colourful and I wanted a lot of pink used as you can see, as pink is my favourite colour. I wanted my album cover to look fun so I used an image of my friend Jermaine jumping to make it look more fun. To make our album cover, first of all we had to take images of ourselves doing a pose I only took two which would be the second and last silhouette. I then asked Jermaine if I could use two of his images, he allowed me to. Moving on, I followed a tutorial posted on the graphics blog to help me make my album cover. I opened photo shop and followed the steps which helped a lot. During making my album cover I went onto google to find some background images to put behind my silhouettes. I then added text to be the name of my band. I couldn't come up with any names so I put 'BGB' which stands for 'Boy Girl Band'.

I enjoyed doing this task, I believe it was quite easy. If I could do anything differently I would have taken more images of myself and made an album cover for a all girls group.

To create my image firstly i went onto the graphics lesson blog and followed the tutorial, I then got an image of a male from one of my favourite boy bands called the New Boyz, his name is legacy. I then followed the tutorial to create my image by using photoshop. I enjoyed doing this task if I could do anything differently I would have got an image of Legacy in a black background.
